Heat the carbon with a torch. Heat will do it.

Heat will do it, but never heat direct to the carbon fibers and or it will be no good. I find it is in my own best interest to leave the arrows a inch long and so if I do break off a point, I can just put a new insert and point into the shaft and still have a usable arrows.

Put in a steel field tip. Heat the tip (only)slowly while pulling on it with pliers. As soon as the the heat loosens the grip of the adhesive the insert will pull out. Normally when done in this manner the insert will pull before the carbon gets damaged.

They sell a tool similar to a screw driver with threads on it to screw into the insert and i just heat the length of the tool and  pull as i'm heating a they slide right out!!!
