Looks awesome....can you expla how you did it ? Thank you

Have the big drive drum there turned flat except about 1 in. On each end
Instead of the guide wheel you can use a rub pin or collar.
Then the table can be alum. Mine is steel. Mounted on the three motor cover bolts and spacers

Can we have a picture crookedstix. JF

SO.......
Here is what I'm doing to make my own bearing guide....Im taking break right now....
Its going well.
I decided to machine in place since the only machine shop I trust is month out on work.....
-
Here is how I added my guide bearing
-
That is better than anything Flem did
That's not Jerry rigging, That's Albert Einstein rigging
Nice job
you may need to add to the bearing to get it the same size as the roller with the sanding paper O.D.
Mine is 3.080--.080 for the sand paper

Thanks bud...it was a lot of setup. Im either adding to it or adjusting my guide templates...Ill know in couple days when I start making risers

Not saying that end won't work but on my setup the drive drum is much better.

It works good..I did some tests... Honestly I never thought about using the drive drum

What happens when you have to adjust tracking on your belt, won't that throw your roller off from 90*??
-
Kinda what I was thinking Shredd.

See that Homey... Wanna be Slick? Stick with Stic... :goldtooth:
-
standing at the end mine goes left and right to track the belt but stays 90 the other way

What if you got a concave to sand... Won't the platen get in the way?? :)
-
if you go to 90* or past

You still gonna get better results with the drum end get it turned flat except an inch on each end make your jigs tall enough to be on the flats. Square your table with shim stock and it ain't changing or move when you put on different belts. Kinda the idea of doing it in the first place no more fitting as you go. :deadhorse:
