I picked up this ‘Woodland Elk’ at a summer shoot a few weeks ago. It’s really about the size of a 1.5 year old deer and sat a little lower to the ground. The subdivision I live in has a ‘no discharge of weapons of any kind’ rule so my everyday range is inside my basement. I got some 2 foot long threaded rods from hardware and it sets the target up at the proper height. I also chopped off the sweeping antlers to keep ‘visual picture’ a little more realistic. Price was right at $225 and it is much better practice than shooting at my block target.

Looks good Ray!!
Good idea for the yard too - wouldn’t have to pull stakes to mow!

Looking good, well done! :shaka:
You could always throw on a set of cheap furniture casters with the lock tab if you wanted to make it really mobile, easy to roll around the floor of your basement and lock into place when shooting.

That's the way to do it! :archer2:
Make it work for you in your location.
I can get a 9 yard shot inside the garage with the door closed. If I cleaned out the junk and went diagonal I'd likely get close to 15.

Yep, I get 11-12 yards, but it keeps form and muscles tuned.
And if a deer walks by my ground blind a 11 yards he’s in trouble 😉😆

That works well.

Those mini elk and caribou are cool targets!

Nice value. Too bad your town has the rule. My town does too, but, It rally depends on the neihbors. And I have a privacy fence.

Never seen one but that's pretty darn cool. And yes, great price.

Gotta adapt! Anything that helps you practice!
