Couldn't even tell that you were in the blind with the black on, although very little was seen with the camo either.
I think they looked the same, meaning I couldn't see you at all in either. But I'm not a turkey either.
I don't have turkey eyes, but the black looked more sneaky to me. Good luck hunting Curt.
Black. I just always thought it would be cool to be a ninja. :biglaugh:
Black if you are gonna be in the blind all day(half day anyway). I would go with camo, because I know I would be outta the blind and chasing em... :wavey:
Go with the black...the blind jiggled a bit more when you wore camo! :smileystooges:
Hence the reversible headcover and why I always have a camo shirt to wear over the black....or I wear all camo and carry an extra big, lightweight black shirt to go over everything.....
I never wear black when walking or hunting outside the blind.....
didn't see anything in either except the fletching coming out...if your worried about it fletch a few up with black feathers and your unstopable!
Cool video, Curt. The black was definately the ticket in the blind. Be careful walking along the road in it though. One of those passing cars might call the cops.
Steve, been wearin' black for the last two seasons....

You heading up here at all this year Curt? Im sure between Shawn, Damon and I we could get ya on some birds....
Im hoping to get a shot or two without a blind. Good luck either way.
Curt, black is what I wear most of the time.I'll be exspecting to see some pix of ya with a big ole limbhanger before long....Good Luck to ya...
Very good videos...thanks for sharing. Thought I noticed a little movement with camo...black was completely stealthy. Nice birds.
Great videos. Without a doubt, inside the blind wear black. I saw some movement with the other but absolutely none with the black.
Thanks
ChuckC
The black is likely better. However, the photographic way you did the test is slightly skewed IMO. A camera doesn't photograph light the way we see it. Dark areas look darker and light areas lighter. In other words, when our eyes can see into a dark area during daylight a camera can't (if there is lots of light around the dark.)
Cool pics and video feeds mate. I ducked unknowingly when the first arrows was in bound! Gave me a twitchy fright!...lol
Anyways, good guys wear black!
AK.
I like to wear black in the blind, when moving I have camo over my black. This year I made a blaze orange cape to put on my mounted hen decoy when I'm on the move, I don't want any accidents. Nice footage Curt, thanks
"Good Guys Wear Black" (I always liked that movie) :bigsmyl:
the only thing I could see was the limb of your bow moving. At least that's what I think I saw. Your success over the years shows you know what your doing though. Thanks for the demo Curt.
I think it was a hoax- you didn't even get in the blind- you shot from behind it ;) - you've got the birds figured out for sure. Good luck.
Great Video.
I vote black.
Dang I like the black look or lack of look. I'll be using it in our blinds from now on.
Now I need a place to hunt turkeys this year.
Mike
I've been using black in the double bull blinds for three years now, anything else they can see, because their eyes don't operate like a camera. It is especially important to wear black on your bow hand, it's the first thing they will see if you don't, and if your bow has white overlay on the front, find something to cover it. If you wear glasses, they will see the reflection from them. I were even in warm weather a camo mosquito netting over my glasses, to minimize the glare.
Pastor Carl
I use burnt cork on my face, it seems to work good.
Looked to be the same to me, I couldn't see you in either video! Well done!
I see way more in the one with camo. If ya look at the very center where the one strap comes down and kind of connects top and bottom of window ya see all sorts of movement. Nice, ya huntin' in the morning? Shawn
Black flat out works....mark#78...stealth like :)
Hmmmm...some of you don't see a difference? Guys it's the "little things" or "attention to detail" that will lead to success....don't overlook them ;)
Mark, Thanx bud, but tomorrow is opening day and all I'll be able to do is scout before work.....time off is at an all time low for me this year. Hopefully the predicted rain for Sunday will hold off. Scouting has proven that there's a few birds that have "been targeted for termination".....just need the chance to hunt them before someone else screws them up......
Shawn, good luck tomorrow bud!
I saw movement in the first video. I believe it was a crew cab. :p
We are looking at it to human eyes, try making your pupils 4.5 times as big, and you may see movement in both videos.
Wearing black just works. But if you wearing a shiny black fabric, they will pick that out just as well. Not as much as they will camo.
Carl
Cool....recon it does make a difference.
Curt, I saw a riser/limb flash in the CAMO sequence. If you hunt in the CAMO shoot the black bow .Gotta love that black glass.
Why can't everybody see all the movement in the camo shot. It is not just the bow, but the bow arm and shoulders as well as his head, ecsp. as he is getting ready for the shot. Shawn
I cant watch videos on this piece of....I mean old computer.
I don't know....I think the game will be more bothered by the cars and trucks on the highway 8^).
Saw more movement of the blind, than of you. I bet the birds see that more that camo or black. That said seems like you get your drumsticks
Kurt Bel5
Cool videos Curt. From watching the videos, I don't think it was your clothes that we saw moving. I think it was light reflecting off the bow as you moved it into position. The black one obviously reflected less. ;) Just my $0.02.... :D
George,that's too funny :biglaugh:
Kurt, The blind was moving as I got in. closed up the door and windows behind me....I wound be doing that at crunch time.....

Ditto. I can't sit in one of those things for more than an hour! :jumper: The only reason I have one is if it's pouring rain.
