Title: PSE Impala... any thoughts?
Post by: TimRadke on April 28, 2008, 09:37:00 PM
I'm looking at buying a bowfishing recurve, and came across a PSE Impala.  It's about 1/2 the price of a new one, and I was just wondering if anyone can give me their thoughts on the bow.  It's a 50#, and would pretty much be strictly a bowfishing bow (and a few arrows through it before my RER gets here)...

Is this bow any good, or is it pretty much what you'd expect from a cheap bow?

Thanks in advance!

You can get a Quinn Stallion for $270 and they are great bows.Quinn's bowfishing bow ,the Stingray is under $190 but I haven't tried it.

I'll try to answer for you. I had one and it was set up for fishing. Plenty good for that purpose.

It's a pretty good bow for fishing with. If I'm correct my buddy had one and had a lot of fun shooting fish back in the day. I still have my PSE blackhawk set up for fishing. I personally feel the PSE heritage series bows aren't worth more than what they had cost new so I wouldn't pay more than $100 for one in top shape. JMHO
