TwinOaks will be hosting the IBO Traditional World at our club on July15/16/17/18 -2021. Hope yall can make it down. Their will be 60 targets on 2 30 target course for the IBO and 25 targets for the hunter Challenge, it's like 2 events in 1, you can shoot both or just 1, what even you want, awards for both. It not the TN. Classic but still lots of fun and lots of fine people show up to enjoy, hope you can make it. For info and directions and things about the club go to [ twinoaksbowhunters.org] or call 615-456-5961, my cell. Hope to see yall there.

I’m in for this one, God willing and the creek don’t rise!!!!!
Bisch

Don't forget your hip boots, Bisch. A quote from Pappy yesterday...
"...and then the rain came, over 4 inches in about 40 minutes. WOW.
Pappy"
Similar to what happened a few years ago at the Classic. Ah, the good old days! :o
-
A superior traditional venue.
Looking quite forward to attending.
-
I’ll be there! Hip boots are standard gear in Louisiana so I’m used to that :dunno: :biglaugh:
-
Put yer big boy boots on! The targets came in and are here. Gonna be a goodun, may well be a record attendance! Be there cuz it may be awhile before it’ll be here again.
Shoot em , if ya got em.

From Pappy...
"Got 80 new targets in for the IBO Trad world, seems we may have to build another target shed" :archer2:
-
Happens every IBO Trad Worlds. They don't shoot used targets for World Championship.
See that SB from the HH~, she is tearing up the SB Women's Class third National level winner in a row from 2020-to 2021. I hear she put on a show in the Cloverdale finals. Even the TrdaArcheryChamp wanted no part of her. Gotta love them HedgeHunters.
You'll see a few at Trad Worlds. Last years there were five in Sunday Champ round at Twin Oaks.

You dont wanna get spanked by the HH? Leave that kruked kurt bow in ILL. Arvin puttin up some real $ for The Arvin. I guess we throwin some more. So the big $ shootdown will be The Arvin.
No need to step to that line Kurt. New HH is dialed shootin dimes at 24yds. Blew out three knocks out past 25 last evening in training session. Down to three good arra’s for The Arvin now! Oh, Well.

From Pappy..."The rest of the weekend was spent working on ranges and around the place for the IBO Trad world so not many pictures. ??? We got 3 ranges cleaned and 85 targets hauled out to be set, also got the kitchen and pavilion cleaned and ready to go, bush hogged the camping area and some of the range trails and bagged 80 bags of ice in between times, very busy but got a lot done. Only 2 more weeks so we got to stay at it if we want to be ready."

From what I've heard, gonna be a big un.
-
Headed down tomorrow, though due to a broken toe I will not be on the course, just bumming around the vendors and pavilion. If you see a guy hobbling around on crutches, feel free to say hi. :wavey:
-
King, I'm sure Pappy and the gang will keep you entertained. Never a dull moment around Twin Oaks.
-
I’ve been hanging out in the pavilion…brought a good book I’ve been meaning to read and Tradganging. Seen lots of archery buddies already. Much better than sitting around the house or being at work! :goldtooth:
-
It was nice to meet you yesterday King! Hope your foot heals up sooner than later!
Oh, and good to chat with you again Scott(Friend)!!
Oh yeah, and I met Curliss yesterday too!
Bisch
-
Nice to meet you too, Bisch! Enjoyed watching you (and other friends) compete in the afternoon shootdowns.
Scott, sorry I missed you!
-
Attended Thursday and Friday will head back down after church tomorrow.
A spectacular event.
Was honored to see Bisch again.
The most congenjal and memorablel atmosphere.
Thank you Twin Oaks.
-
Good to see you Scott. Think I shot in top od 2nd draw for Sunday in Selfbow. Got tuff competitors out there and it's dicey. Prolly toughest IBO setup in 7-8yrs. Great test. Not for the weak of heart.

Will be traveling back down to TO in the morning...Will be pulling for Smag and Bisch if he will be there.
-
Oh, I’ll be there!!!!!
Bisch
-
Go Bisch...
-
B side was a varmint shoot. Tuff stuff for sure. Good times. Time to switch to Broadheads for the HedgeHunter.
HH~

Go Bisch...
I bombed today! Started out in 3rd place in Trad Hunter. Shot really bad, dropping 30pts from yesterday’s score. A bunch of guys leapfrogged me, and I did not place at all in the IBO!
I did manage to squeak out a 3rd Place plaque in Senior Trad class on the Hunters Challenge course.
It was another great shoot at Twin Oaks!
Bisch

Am quite proud of Smag and Bisch...
Was the best weather that I can recall at the World's at Twin Oaks...was the best of times...
-
Life is Gud at TO always. Good time, not the Classic but it was ok. Made a few bucks off side bets. Couple Yankee's bet me I would not be still standing before they went out. Rookie mistake, the Hedge was The Only Selfbow still standing with the last 15 guys out of the 150 who started.
Was alot darker in woods to day!!! Used my standby phrase from SUS Army SOTIC skewl "lights up sights up, light down sight down" worked well today. Can learn that chit holding signs saying "stop the war in Nam".
Smag~
-
Nice shooting gents!
-
Sure wished you could have shot with us King :archer:
Get healed up brother!
Congrats Bisch on your win! I sure didn’t know you could shoot multiple classes in the Hunter Challenge :banghead:
-
Trad Worlds was once again a great event. Met lots of new friends and caught up with old ones too.
-
No pics to share with the Gang? :dunno:

Pat B
I have a squirrel brain so always leave my phone in the truck. I miss out on a lot of pictures because of that.
-
Thanks Corey! I just gotta get healed up now for deer season! :archer2:
-
Bunch of squirrel heads had HC course backed up for hours on Thurs. Had seven shootin in one group. Think it took 3.5hrs to shoot 25 targets cuz of that stuff. They had guys in that group who know better to do that when you had older foljs shooting in 90 degree weather. Not Kewl.

No pics to share with the Gang? :dunno:

Thanks for the pics, Corey. Looks like everyone was having a good time. Hard not to at Twin Oaks.

I have shot a lot of tournaments and noticed that two things will cause a log jam on the course, large groups and shooting two targets from the same stake.
Some large groups will step aside and let all the people waiting on them shoot through, some are too self-absorbed to notice that they are holding things up.
One time there was a group of 8 or 9 ahead of me, I asked politely if they would split into two groups to speed things up. When they noticed the backlog behind them they were very agreeable, apologetic and split up into two groups.
Sometimes you have to be the unofficial range master, if you smile and be very nice,(compliment them on their nice looking bows) people always comply.
Then there are the bone heads that will look for a lost arrow forever, those folk are an inconsiderate lost cause, polite suggestions don't work for them.

Here are the IBO TRAD WORLDS Hunters challenge scores for anyone who would like to see them.

From Pappy....yes a great turn out, 751 total register, 410 on the Hunter Challenge side and 341 on the IBO side, some shot both and some just one or the other so total people was around 450 , so very big success for us. Had more self bows this year than ever which is good to see, the Arvin Weaver shoot down drew a bunch of shooters and a big crowd to watch, man some of them guy and gals can shoot that is for sure." :archer2: :archer: :campfire: :clapper:
-
Had a female selfbow shootdown even. They peeled a $100 from the Men's Arvin for them which was nice to see. They going to have to do a FSB Class next year prolly.
Thurs and Fri were the biggest days with morning flights. Sat in middle of day you wouldn't have known the was a National Championship going on.

Hey, may see another Trad World at TO. Good Chance. More to follow.
HedgeHunter~
-
Hedge thanks for the help my friend. Had a good time at the IBO, and I even shot pretty good, looks like some of the fella's couldn't keep up with my pretty Hummingbird Longbow. To bad it might be a while fore I see you again. In the mean time keep building them Self Bows and stacking up them Deer. See ya down the road .

Have a new 40lb target bow that needs a shooter for Worlds 2022. Prolly could have sold a bunch there this year. Guys were hot for them HedgeHunter 67-69” rigs for some reason. Guy bought mine right outta my hand , 41@28” 68”. Fella was a teal good shooter.
Yeah, not sure where we get caught up? I just picked up another farm to hunt in West KY, 3500ac. I be really busy here out to Jan 25th 2022 or there abouts. Headed out west. Need to be back to get these wheat , radish food acres seeded in when corn is out.
Goona be a good whitetail year. Plenty rain has not been to hot. Best corn i seen in 20yrs here. Late beans are just up. Its lookin fantastic right now.
Da Hedge~
