I don't get to post pics of dead things often so here's my big chance. In short, the weather was hot and my sciatic nerve was killing me but I still managed to pull off a 15yd running shot on this piggie. After a brief face off at 10yds, while I tried to remain still and not blow my cover, she knew something was wrong and decided to make a break for it. I was already at half draw during the show down so getting to anchor took no time. The arrow went in through one of the last ribs and exited behind the opposite shoulder. 4 seconds on it's feet and the game was over. Robertson bow, POC shaft, 190gr ribtek.
Congrats
Nice job!

Story, pic, gear, all well done. Congrats! How do you like the RibteKs?
I wanna see a pic of wife Sarah dragging the piggie from the brush for her ole' broken down man!
good job ! I like the pic of the meat with the wine, good eating !
Awesome job!
Nice pig! Congratulations on your shot.
Lin
NICE !!
Do the wine bottles help cool the pork? or does the pork help cool the wine? Good job, thanks for sharing. Enjoy your harvest!
Yeah, we had to gut the bottom half of the fridge to get the meat in there. Hanging outside in 80 degrees just wasn't going to work. We put the wine there cuz there wasn't any where else to put it. Then I thought, "hey this would make a nice photo."
I just got orders from my wife, who helped me drag the critter out of the brush, that I need to get some brisket marinade on another roast.
Duty, calls so gotta go!
Nice job Ursus, :saywhat:

Awesome! Now, was the fresh pork better than the Jimmy Dean up there in the drawer?

Nothing better than Texas hog on the BBQ.

Fresh pork is way better than that stuff that comes in a tube! 24hrs in a brisket marinade is hard to beat.
Ursus Great job on the hog but I am confused it looks like snow on the ground what is that white stuff.Kip
