Found a very nice knife I just couldn't resist.Damascus Hunter,3 7/8" blade with Oak bolsters and Mammoth Ivory handles,8 1/4" overall, neat Rattlesnake sheath.Beautiful knife made by a gentleman by the name of Frank Chikey.
I was hoping someone might own,or have seen some of his other work??I've been trying to find some more info on him but there doesn't seem to be much out there...........checked the Georgia Knifebuilders Guild, but he doesn't have a gallery.................

Good looking knife Mike. All you need now is to get some blood on it.

Probably be MY blood from fondling it too much.

Very nice looking blade.

Sweet knife! You going to use it or make it an investment/safe queen? I personally would have a hard time dragging that puppy thru the woods.

ALWAYS use a good blade. To do otherwise is "bad medicine." It's like having a bird dog you won't let hunt. I use all of my Randalls from time to time.
A VERY nice blade you have there!!!

I agree Gator - Use it for what it was made to do. To each their own though.

Hey Varmint, did you pick that up at the Winyah heritage festival in Georgetown? I swear I saw it at one of the booths, Incredible damascus work. Holly Hill? are you shootn the rocks pond this weekend?

Oh I'll definately carry it,not all the time tho,I have quite a few that get rotated around.
strick9,didn't get it from there, didn't even know about the festival.I will be at the shoot this w/e,I'll be the guy hocking the SCBA hats,t-shirts,ect.make sure you say hi.Hopefully be able to shoot the course, have to get someone to take over for awhile tho.If you're coming, bring a thermos of coffee, looks like it's gonna be chilly.Bet there's gonna be a good wind coming off the lake too.

Roger that , Not sure whether I will be at the shoot, or scouting some hogs for my dad he is coming down from the upstate for the Samworth hunts...Regards....
