Well after the 2nd year of not drawing any tags. My father-in-law and I have discussed the possibilities of going after some speedgoats. The only problem we have is WHERE TO GO!! We have looked at South Dakota as a possibility due to the available tags. My father-in-law is pushing 70 and does shoot with training wheels but I would like to find somewhere to take him where he could get a good shot oppurtunity. If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE share them with me. Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks, James
I see a hundred, two hundred or more on my 40 mile drive to work each day. Albany county WY. Lots of goats but mostly private. Access can be had though, sometimes a little pricey.
Lots of state land in South Dakota- we have gone the last three years and have never been turned away on private ground. Folks up there think its kinda funny we want to chase them with stickbows! We've always seen plenty of goats on state and private ground.

Wyoming usually has leftover tags after the draw, which will be in July for residents. Most, if not all, of those tags will be in areas with lots of private land, but if you are willing to pay an access fee, the hunting can be good. If SoDak doesn't work out, check Wyoming for leftover tags.
I appreciate you guys taking the time to help out a fellow tger. Have recieved alot of good information.
