Check this stuff out

Super thin backing maybe? It comes in clear or mirror  I also think it can be custom printed. High temp resistance and it's bondable!
I would go for the mirror, Rambo edition; [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Mirror would be awesome for hunting. Especially with a wide limb design. You could either reflect the sunlight into their eyes or if your stalking, trick them into thinking their reflection is a buddy stopping by

Rambo tuff :bigsmyl:

I was doing a spring shop purge and found these rolls of Mylar I forgot about. Trying to figure out what to do with it. It would be good for a heat box liner. Who knows what else. Have to find out how to bond it to wood :bigsmyl:

Decided I would test my theory. Going to see how close I can get to the critters, I'm thinking they are going to be dazzled and not recognize me and the dog.

It’ll be interesting to hear your results! I’ve always gone on the theory that bright reflections are something to avoid in the field. Any reflections sure catch my eye and seem out of the norm in nature.

Truth be told, I was being a smart A$$. But I did actually walk around with my mirrored sunglasses and bow for a while. The deer just looked at us like they normally do. I imagine they know us by smell and any goofy outfits worn won't fool them.
-
LOL joke’s on me! I thought you were going out with that Mylar taped to your bow ... There’s a herd of Mulies here like that, they hardly pay me notice when I go outside. I’ll try to find a pic.

Here are some of the ususal suspects.

I did go out with the mylar on the bow! They didn't give it a second look, but they are neighborhood deer.
They see or smell us every day I am sure.
You are making me miss NM! You live in an enchanting place :cheesy:

Look how thin that masked man is:)
How many pounds down are ya now, Flem?

I like mylar when I glue up a riser. I place it between the riser blocks and my little gluing table. I can clamp everything down and the mylar always comes off easy.

Thanks Roy, would not have done it without being inspired by your success!

I'm working on that too and it goes slower as age is added on. :o

Oh, I was referring to the rebuild of muscle. I've lost 59# since last November 1st.

Damn that's great, Mike.....

Thanks Roy. Being told I was diabetic was a huge motivator. :o
It cost some muscle mass but I'm making slooooow progress getting it back.
I really need to lose another 20 and am working on it.

Good on you Mike
Waining core strength and a growing tool shed was my motivation.

Yeah, I was a little shocked when I took a close look at myself in the mirror one day. :scared:
There is a rec center less than a mile from my house but they were closed up until about mid March. I've been able to work out since then and things are coming around.
