Bow tip hit the top of the blind for a complete miss! :banghead:
Was trying out a Magnus Bullhead and everything was perfect till I let go. Gobbler was at 10yds with his head up high.

Had a nice gob at 12 yards yesterday....shot thru the buckle and strap that secured the top to the bottom of the window...then hit the wing butt on a bearded hen...feathers everywhere as she flipped wildly, then she layed motionless for 10"s and came to life and ran off.
..the arrow was aying on top of the ground...absolutely clean from the tip to the nock...got whipped...

And I thought that kinda crap only happened to me. Sorry that happened Scott, but I’m consoled knowing I’m not alone!!!

The events and exhilarating experience of certain hunts are priceless. The vast majority of my own treasured memories were those hunts of which I had failed miserably.
-
Love it Scott!!!

1/1 for me.
My buddy dirty bird came down with a nice 18 year old who had just converted to trad a couple of months, but shoots lights out. He had an opportunity at what might have been and Oklahoma record turkey. Crazy spurs. Deflected off of a blind pole. Heartbreaking.

Sat one evening last weekend. Had four jakes come through, four hens as well.
Good news is the deer are Garland healthy. Doe are starting to show well.
I may go out this Sunday evening as well. Not sure it's worth cleaning one.

I can hunt until the end of May, so on opening day I let 2 toms walk in my decoys with less than 10" beards. A third strutter showed up later, but kept on walking at the very end of my effect range, so I didn't launch a missile. Hope to take out my 5 year old grandson for his first turkey hunt soon.

Shot this guy on my new place here at home. Black Widow 64lbs with 680 grain carbon with a big Snuffer. Bob Ruark said "Use Enough Gun" :biglaugh:
Actually I'm going moose hunting this Fall so I'm shooting the moose rig this year.

I struck out this year.
-
Congrats all!

I was fortunate to find three gobblers in Kansas that answered me and saw my decoys.....only one left. First shot was 17 yards facing away, arrow went in right between the wing joints and killed the bird instantly. Second shot was 25 yards and slightly low, but broke both hips and the bird flopped a bit, but didn't go far. Weights of the Rios were 24lb and 21lb. Bow is a Pathfinder 17" ILF riser and Hoyt G3 limbs @47lbs.
