Hi guys!
I did (just for Fun) a Kid's bow, made with a BroomStick. Yeahh... How unconventional? :knothead: :biglaugh:
But I have a lot of Fun making it, and turns up a nice video. :)
Hope you like.
Cheers

Great video!! And great creative bow design and build. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
You must have much better broomsticks down there in Brazil than we do here in the States! What kind of wood is that? Almost looked like mahogany.

Very fun! Always enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing with us.
That wood looks like Ramin, tropical utility wood thats endangered due to pulp production. Take about any cheap "old" broomstick and sand the paint off and you will likely find Ramin.

Thanks very much. :cheesy:
The wood, I have no idea. Someone toldme that can be a wood we call he: Cedrilho (Cedrela lilloi).
That's a really bad and cheap wood.

I don't know if we have Ramin here. But it's possible. :)

Cedrilla lilloi -- Latin: Cedrela angustifolia is a South American member of the Mahogany family. A valuable timber tree of the mountain forests.

My very first bow was made from a push broom handle. My youngest daughter wanted to try archery and I was too cheap to buy a bow. Amazingly it shot and didn’t blow up. I have come a long way since then, but the joy of creating a functioning bow is still same. I love to hear someone say “you built that?”
