Title: Traditional Easter activities
Post by: Pine on April 03, 2021, 11:54:01 AM
Being stuck at home, I was hoping some of you could post pictures and or stories of some Easter activities.
I'm thinking making Easter eggs and or the games involved.
Some kids shooting bows and arrows.
Would be neat if someone could invent an archery game somehow that would be fun for kids.
And also some pictures that show the truth about what Easter is all about.

How bout put some eggs on something with a good backdrop and have the kids shoot at it.

Whoever breaks an egg gets some candy or a plastic egg with a little money in it.

Maybe get some string like mason line or whatever you may have and make a small hole in the top of  those plastic Easter eggs and tie off a knot on the inside and fill with candy, coins or a note letting them know what they won .
Tape off the center with scotch tape and hang from a branch in the yard away from the house .
Let them fling arrows and collect eggs . Or just make a “ Outdoor PlayStation” like I did last year during the Covid stay at home policy.

My daughter lives a half mile away and we'll do Easter at her house. Grilling fajitas and homemade macaroni salad along with enough deviled eggs to keep us in greenhouse gases for a week.
I'll definitely put a few arrows down range at the house but I'm shooting like crud but have gotten a handle on some of my problem so it's improving.   Mostly.
Wife is at church but they still require a mask and I'm not down with that so I'll pray to and Praise Him right here at home and in my heart.
I hope you and all the members have a blessed Easter and know that The Lord God is still on the throne, still in control and loves you unconditionally.

Idk it’s it’s feasible so late but imagine you had some foam blocks, placed them in a walkabout course. Perhaps paint or draw some Easter eggs on it. Play it sorta like golf. If they miss they gotta shoot again from roughly how far they missed by. Don’t make the foam real big but vary sizes.
Of course each shot is from a safe direction. Once course is finished you can have prizes. Maybe the kids all get a chocolate Easter Bunny or something with first, 2nd place written on package. Something like that could take time and be cool. You could put the foam up and make it sorta like a Muzzy shoot too. Just an idea but prob too late

We had the Easter bunny come to my son's house last Saturday to see my 3 year old Granddaughter and her two little cousins. They had a great time but one of the cousins was diagnosed with Covid the next day. My son got diagnosed with Covid this morning. Like they say, it's not over till it's over.

Wish all a happy Easter and God Bless.

Sorry to hear that.
My wife and I have been fighting that crud for a couple weeks ourselves.

I typically take my "Good Friday Stomp", which is my first big groundhog hunt of the year. Its a rite of Spring I've done forever.

Didnt happen this year due to temps in mid 30's, howling wind, and a skiff of snow. No sod poodle in his right mind would be out in weather like that. Me either!

I spent the day by the woodstove napping in a recliner.

Yeah, I'm a wuss.

My son and I took some of his plastic eggs outside and shot them off the top of a block target. Good times.
