Title: Cari-bow snowbird?
Post by: Biathlonman on April 25, 2008, 06:29:00 AM
Can anyone tell me anything about this longbow?  I've been offered one in trade and I can't fine much if any information about this particular model, even on the Cari-bow website.

Pictures would be great also.

If no one here can give you an answer, call Abe Penner at Cari-Bow.  He will be happy to give you the scoop.

my wife got me one for christmas 06,62"48#@28",i received it dec.5th 06,and shot it daily untill march 11th 07.then sold it to hootie c,aka joey brewer, who is still shooting it.the reason i sold it was i had to drop down in weight.it was as fine a bow as i have owned, very stable, smooth, quiet, good pointability, great cast, and speed, and the craftsmanship was up there in the top 10.hope this helps,i would love to own another in the right weight, length.

I own a featherhorn, but I've shot the snowbird...  It is midway between the featherhorn and peregrine in terms of aggressive reflex/deflex.  The one I shot made very nice groups.  The thumb locater really helped me point the bow.  I had to put it down though, when I started to feel like I was cheating on my featherhorn.  Abe is among the best.  You won't be disappointed.

I sure do hope so, Ragin Bull.  I'll be trading one of my Toelke Whips, which I adore, but I'm looking for something with a few more pounds.

So I got the bow today, actually twotimer, it's our old bow.  Joey told me he broke his arm in three places and was having trouble with the weight.

What do you all recommend as to brace height?
