Okay....I bought this off an auction site. It's a 66", RH, Ben Pearson Javalina, Semi-Recurve, 51# @ 28". It was scratched and paint chipped...and had some slightly twisted limbs. I sprayed it with gray and black, and used some arbor vitae for templates to camo. The limbs are back close to where they belong and it shoots well.
This would make a good learning bow, or even a hunting bow for someone who hasn't the cash to spend on one. I'll let it up to the Tradgangers to come up with a recipient.. The bow is very smooth shooting and accurate, and will come with a usable string and a stick-on rest.
Please....it needs to be someone who doesn't have the wherewithal to buy their own bow and really wants to try a recurve.

George,
I've got a 17 year old neighbor's son in mind if it works for you.He will not be able to buy his own bow.He has been shooting with me and I'm taking him to Tannehill shoot this weekend with my borrowed bow.
Pm me if you need some info.
George You are the man.I have been looking in my old bowhunter mags. about something years ago I saw about you getting bows for some other org. or something like that. You have been an Ambassador for our sport for years Thanks.Do you recall what I am talking about.Kip P.S. don't put my name in the drawing.
The young man's name is Josh.He is polite and well mannered.I know he would really appreciate the wonderful generosity.
I'll do everything I can to help him get started in trad archery.Archery has done a lot of good things for me and I know it will for him as well.
Well done George! That's a great gesture! ;)

Okay....we'll go ahead and send it to Randy for Josh.

That is very nice George, awsome qesture.
Tell Josh congrats.
George, I had one like that a few years ago (well maybe more than a few) but it was left handed and 40#'s. Shot a lot of NFAA outdoor rounds with it. Good job :wavey:  ....Van

It's really a sweet shooter Van. Josh should do well with it.
Randy...I have another anonymous donor who will make arrows for Josh. He will probably contact you.

You guys are too much!
The world needs more folks like you.I told Josh this afternoon.I wish you could have seen his face.He kept saying,Are you serious? Are you serious?
As soon as we get the bow and arrows I'll take some pictures and get Josh to say howdy to everyone.
Thank you again Mr.Stout and everyone else involved.May you all be blessed more than you have room enough to receive.
Randy
Randy, I gave your mailing address to the two tradgangers who are donating the string and some arrows. I'll put the bow in the mail on Monday, so you should have it Wednesday if all goes well.
I'll have a confirmation number for you when it's posted. Thanks for caring enough to get Josh involved in this...that means more than any thing else.
Amen to that!
And here I was, thinking the title said PERSON instead of Pearson! Free cosmetically challenged PERSON to a good home!
Good job George!
Mike
Great heart George! Well done! I have enough bows already so please do not add me.
I'm with Elk ninja- I thought you said "person", too.
I just figured my wife was finally trying to get rid of me on the cheap- I qualify as "cosmetically challenged"....
You're a good man, George. Hope whoever gets the bow appreciates it!
Well I'm glad I'm not the only homely one here 8^).
I know most of you guys have given of yourselves or your archery "stuff" enough to know it makes you feel good to see how folks hop on to the giving process. I'm no different than any of you, I just had a bow that needed a home. Something as simple as shooting an arrow can make so much difference in a persons life. Thanks to Randy mostly, for giving of his time....a priceless gift that will be remembered long afterward.
