I prefer action boo, but not much difference as far as I can tell except laminated materials hit weight a little closer than natural wood ...

Here is a little test I did several years ago on cores...

I have limbs with all the above mentioned cores. Only time I really noticed a difference in preformance was with using my set of Rose Oak limbs vs. factory Bear limbs. The Rose Oak are bamboo and I was able to “spine up” with them. Now, is it the core material or the limb design? A little off track but my LB which is Red Elm out shot those Bear limbs as well. Same weights of course, same arrows. All limbs rated for FF.

I forgot, I have a set of limbs agian same weight as others that are maple and glass. Made by Kirk at Bigfoot. I was able to spine up with these as well which makes some argument for limb design valid. Just my experience, yours may vary.

I have two longbows with bamboo, a recurve with Tonkin cane and a Kota longbow with red elm.

Once the novelty wore off I haven't noticed much difference.  Presently shooting  action wood.

I don’t do carbon cores. I could easy gain a few FPS if I choose to by making a few simple adjustments to my design but there is always a point of diminishing returns. I’m pretty happy where it’s at now.

Not even if I said "pretty please"? :biglaugh:
Not about being faster.  About maintaining performance while dropping in draw weight.  Plus I just think it'd be cool to try.
