After a lot of thought, I just ordered the bow I have truly wanted, a Northern Mist Baraga! Cocobolo handle, Tempered Bamboo Core's, Flamed Birch Veneers, Cocobolo Tip Overlays under clear glass!
I was considering other bows from other makers that were used, but I went with my heart, and decided that I would be much happier even if I have to wait.
I can't wait to be able to fling arrows with this bow! :archer2: :archer2: :archer2: :archer2:

Thank you my friend. :archer:

I got this Ramer off his stock page. It sounds a lot like your bow colors. I like the Ramer, but shoot ones like the Baraga better. Going to have to try one.
Post up some pics when you get it.

Maybe that will hold you over until you get yours. He's a nice guy to talk with on the phone also.

Awesome bow, congratulations. I'll definitely post pics when I get it. Not sure how long the build time is these days, but I hope not too long.

I ordered it via his online order form, should I actually call Steve, or will he contact me?
-
I never did one like that. I'm sure he will call you,but he wouldn't mind a bit if you call him.

Congrats on the new bow!!! I have several of Steve's bows, and love them all. I have never ordered one via email, I have ordered in person or over the phone. He's always willing to talk bows with you, usually mid morning is a good time to catch him.

Waiting is part of the fun of a custom.
Congratulations and hope you enjoy the new addition.

Last hunting season found me with a barrage in hand.
A deceptively simple looking 62" all osage bow with tempered bamboo core with sheep horn tip overlays. After spending the past 15 years hunting with 66" to 69" ASLs, it took me awhile to acclimate to this 62" mild R/D bow.
I had requested a straight grip instead of the more common locator style and Steve did a great job of making that bow feel familiar in my hand.
The two does and the hog in our freezer will attest of how well this bow performs in the field.
Your patience will be rewarded with a fine hunting partner.
Those flame birch veneers are beautiful. I might have been tempted, but osage has always had a special meaning to me.

Excellent choice of woods. They will go very well together. With the flamed Birch and Coco Bolo riser. The tempered bamboo should be very nice shooting for your core wood..I had the 64 inch Baraga.Nice shooters.
