This year was rough. Didn't get to hunt at all. Between my week days staying home with my granddaughter as she went to school on the computer and my part time job on weekends, my time was sucked up. Have not even bought a license yet. On the up side I have traded for some good broadheads, wool, arrows and shafts, so I'll have things to do. Looking forward to the annual Granger Ranger Xtreme Hunt in February this year. Have a more reliable ride the year. All the best to all!!!

I'm sorry you didn't get to hunt this past season, but sometimes family obligations simply must take precedence over recreation. Maybe this upcoming trip will be successful and enjoyable. Let's all hope 2021 will be better for all of us.

I feel your pain! This was the first year in a few that I was able to get back in the swing of things due to family obligations. Good luck on your hunt!

I feel your pain, I bought a license and never went hunting. Kids with online learning take up a lot of time, then his hockey season kicked in....
Next year!
On a high note, my oldest daughter (22 yo) wanted a recurve for Christmas. Got her one and made her some arrows, going to work on her quiver soon. She has good memories of the Denton Hill shoots when she was a little one, looking forward to going again as a young woman.

It has been different. Have not even bought a license. The GRXH is an annual event in its 22nd year. Missed last two due to work and church events. This year looks hopeful.

Show up Wednesday or Thursday before and usually have a bunch of pre-GRXH eats. Hunt starts noon on Friday.

This site and two others have been a blessing. Living vicariously through others experiences. Did get several great pieces of wool, and materials to keep my mind focused on the hunt. Monitoring my little one in class has been fun, as well. Still have a few years left in me.

Wudstix, man I feel your angst. I only got out one time this season--a new low for me. Several reasons I guess. The covid thing has had my mind in a funk--my doctor calls it covid fatigue and said he's seen a lot of it. On top of that, my son usually comes back to WV to hunt some with me and wasn't able to this year due to all the changes in his optometry practice resulting in a very different work load due to covid and also the need for the family to quarantine at the time we usually hunt together because his daughter had covid. And...the group of guys I hunted with for about 30 years has kind of gone in a different direction and my joy in hunting has always been much more about the fellowship than killing something. I want to have the "want-to" but this year I just haven't. Missing all of the rendezvous didn't help either. Man I hope 2021 is a better, brighter year. :pray: I guess I just need a bit of group therapy today :coffee:

Often there are much higher priorities that require immediate attention.
However, time will pass us by like the wind in your face. Endeavor to proceed up wind and you will have a better opportunity to sneak up on the illusive opportunities to hunt.
Hope you find yourself in the field many times this year.
