Does anyone know where a guy can get a set of machined limb alignment brackets and cable for finding the dynamic center of limbs? Or anyone capable of making them? Thanks.

Mine are alum. bar stock. 1 1/4 I think. I got mine way back from Horne bows. You could stack some big washers together weld them and make your own.
THe last pic on my something new thread has them on a bow.

Hey Mike, how thick are yours?
-
Here is mikes string alignment.
-
5/16 or 3/8s maybe.
-
Mike how bout a picher from the tip end?
-
3/8s is what I was thinking. Close up pictures would be great!

Sweet....

Mike, do you interchange strings on your system? Big Jim's looks like it might be an adjustable cable??
Maybe a turn buckle adaptor??
Getting ready to do the first RC and think one of these would be almost a requirement.

do you take them to full draw?

Usally the correct length string will work being as the grooves will be about where the string will be in the blocks. Another note is when you cut your limb off it needs to be square where the block sets. Once you are happy with the placement. make a line on each side of the block then half way between is dynamic center.
But I am betting if your lam grind is dead on with no grain runout Center will be center.
Use no more than.001 forward taper and lighter weight bows 40 or less no taper. Makes things a lot easier.

Like your blocks Mike.

You could cut aluminum on your bandsaw I think. Might be hard on blades, and I would clamp a piece of plywood on the table for a zero clearance insert ( cut into it and clamp it) because the plastic insert on most saws won't take cutting something that small without sucking it down thru the insert.
Trust me you don't want that! :scared: Been there- costs ya a blade and an insert... :readit:

Yupper, I've seen that happen a time or two:)

And maybe a pair of undies

I made mine from 1/2" thick phenolic. I used a small cable and adjust the cable length for bows from 48" to 66".

Depends, Kenny...
Mike how do you string the bow and have you ever had one of those slip off with the bow strung?
-
Two pegs on the side of the bench bottom limb under a peg riser on top of peg push top limb down to string.
Yes I tried pulling a recurve with them on and it came off that limb was a b to get right after slamming the floor very hard.

LOL, ya have a video of that?
