with all these Tech. threads, I thought I would ask
Does any body know what this carbon fiber is? Is this enough Info. ?
1700*45*1mm
1700*45*0.5mm
-
Not sure on the 1700 , 1 mm is .039 " so thickness? And 45 could be the cross weave?
-
Do you have more info?
To me it seems like dimensions in millimeters. 45 is the width ~1 3/4”
1700 has to be the length ~67”
-
I don't have any more info.
I thought MAYBE 1700 strands per square inch :dunno: (Edit: per square ft.)
-
is it cloth or yarn?
-
When it is written like that, 3 numbers with mm at the end all of them is millimeter. 1700 lenght, 45 width and 1 thick.
-
I asked what the 1700 is this morning, I will get back with the info

The 17 is 17oz/yd fabric. The 45 is the orientation of the fibers and the mm is the thickness.
Don't quote me on that!
