Title: Ordered a custom bow!

Just finished my custom order for a Maddog Mongrel. So stoked! His turnaround time of 8 weeks is pretty darn quick already but it can't get here soon enough! All the drama in the world makes the thought of a new bow all the sweeter. Bocote limbs, some accents, its going to be a beauty. What do ya'll think of his bows? Anyone have a Mongrel?

congrats! Can give you any feedback on the Maddog, but bows are like Lay's (tm) Potato chips  :goldtooth:

Haven't ever shot a Maddog, but I've heard nothing but praise for the bows, and bowyer, for the 10 or so years I've been hanging around here.
Never heard of the Mongrel so I took a look at the website... some sweet looking lines on that bow. A "hybrid" offered in up to 62"... I think you're gonna have one fine bow!

Only 8 weeks wow thats fast you dont even get to enjoy the waiting part.  Congrats! I too recently put in an order and already thinking about arrows for it.

I had a Prairie Predator. It was a real nice bow. The mongrel does look nice. It's one of his newer models.

I too had to check out the Mongrel. Wow what a sweet stick! You’ll have to give it a thorough review later on. Mike has done a lot for traditional kids and good to see him being patronized.

I own Mike's follower extreme longbow....a string follow longbow. It's a great shooter and professionally made. What has been outstanding in my eyes over many years, is Mike's generosity to making kids bows and giving them away. What a wonderful gesture. And his customer service is the best I have seen.




Simply put, you made a fantastic choice of bowyer to make your custom build.

I’ve heard a lot about his kids bows, I have five little ones myself and hope to order two bows from him this year! I already have two shooting longbows, my ten and seven year olds, and I’m looking forward to setting up the 8 and 5 year olds for some 3D shoots this summer.

The excitement of a new bow is always nice. Congrats, mike is top notch. The mongrel looks like a fine design.   You can call it dirty rotten mongrel ha ha ha

In for the review as well. Looking to find a reason to order one so as soon as I win one for my son in the drawing I will order a matching one for me.
