Title: is a cheater_R knife?????

my brother gave me the damascus blade, i put ebony handles and made the sheaf, is this a ch (http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b242/hdc123/bows%20i%20made%202/DSCN0836.jpg)eater-r knife or what???

NOPE! It's not a CheatR unless ya cheat. ya gotta take a blade from one knife and make a new knife from it. That makes ya a CheatR. LOL. Great looking knife BTW. Also ya should send it to me for inspection.<><

stickshooter, i thought you were the one who named that knife and wondered just what made the grade, so i guess i can,t call it a cheat-r then, it must just be a knife,RAT!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL.Harold just messing with ya. Heck you can call it anything ya want. But just to be safe I would still be willing to inspect it for ya.LOL. I like the way it looks. Ya done a very nice job with it IMHO.<><

with all the knifes he has ????  NO WAY he couldn,t use all them in a life time, but they sure are nice to mess with.
 i have one in the shop that will be a true CHEATR in time      take care     harold

Ya know? Cheater or not, i think you should pass it around to all us knifemakers and cheater knife makers to test for ya!!!!!  Very good job on the handle.

jeff, a while back i traded you some cedar shaft for a knife you made, my brother came up from texas for a visit and clamed the knife for his, couldn,t send him back to texas empty handed so, you know where the knife is now.
   he says it is the best knife he has, and he has plenty, so keep up the good work .    harold

Well i'll tell ya what. I love that antler knife upper right next to the boxed folder. Love them odd antler handles. Is that a helle blade?<><

A Helle Blade is made from laminated steel. If you go on their web site they'll show you a diagram of the construction. the center layer of steel is very thing and very hard. the two outer layers are a little softer. I have one that I used for a long time as a patch knife when I was shooting muzzleloaders. I don't think you can find better steel anywhere.

stick, that knife came from norway, probly 60/70 years ago, a man i worked for said his grandpa brought the knife with him when he came to the usa don,t know any more than that     take care   harold
