Which is bolder, sunset or fireside?
They are both good dark roasts, but our Sunset has a fuller bodied taste in my opinion. I would consider it bolder.

I use a scale if I do pour over also, but I usually don't do pour over at camp. I like a french press or percolator for hunting camp. I do recommend getting a burr grinder. Whole bean can stay fresh for much longer than ground coffee. Those zipper bags do help though!

OK, what's the deal, the post office has been very slow, I've been waiting for some packages that are two weeks late. Then how come I ordered some Backwoods Grind coffee on 12/ 21 and if came today 12/24, three days after I ordered. They must have pull with the US mail when everything else is running way late.
Actually it came in the nick of time, I used the last drop of my coffee this morning and thought I'd have to wait awhile before my coffee order got here.

Glad you got it! We try to roast and ship within 2 business days. We do have some customers still waiting for coffee they ordered even before you, though. It's sitting at a hub. So, doesn't look like we have much pull. Maybe some luck. :)

I have never tried this coffee... I will have to give it try - He says as he drinks his cup of extra dark Starbucks..... don't judge me! :laughing:No judging here! I've been told that our Sunset (dark roast) is comparable to Starbucks' dark roasted French Roast.

Yes, we had it in camp this week.... great dark roast... bold but not bitter... great taste and aroma... even the hunter that didn't like dark roast liked it... good stuff.
