Hey yall,My Uncle is putting some cattle out in a pasture behind my house. My question is will carpet be a good backstop for feild points.50# bow,The farthest I am gonna be getting is about 30 yards if that. Thanks for all the help yall
P.S. Is there a particular kind of carpet that works best?
Or should I just move my target(there will only be about 3-6 cows in a very big pasture)
old carpet with glue on the backing
Ok I might try it.
you have cows, don't you have (straw or hay) bales?
Carpet works great if you don't miss :bigsmyl:
Carpet works great it will stop your arrows
I two large pieces of carpet foled over a 6x6 post. My Neighbor has horses behind me..
I haven't killed one yet
Well with the cost of hay today it gets a little costly.I have hey up already but it doesn't go up far enough and I dont think we are gonna buy another bale. Good shooting Weekend Warrior
See if you can find some old mining belt (conveyor belt). It will stop an arrow cold. Not sure if you have access to it down your way but with all the mining in WV it's pretty easy to find around here. Makes an excellent backstop behind a target and it's not affected by the weather.

CAUTION: If you miss the carpet, it will be udder disaster! :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:
