I’m shooting bows in the 45-50# range. I have some AD Trads cut to 29.5”. I draw 28”. Will these work with 150-175 grain heads? Or do I need to get some Trad lites? Or should I be looking at one of the other AD models (Nitro-X, Stinger, etc...)? Thanks.

I think you're gonna need trad lites. I shoot 175 and 200 grain heads and bows in your poundage range like the trad lites. I shoot the trads out of my 70 lb. Hill bow with 200 grain heads but they are still 31" long.

I suspected these were spined too stiff. I have a few Gold Tips that I set up for my son that are 35-55 spine, but only one or two. I will try setting one of them up and see what happens.

I'm shooting recurves and hybrid longbows all cut to center with lo stretch strings, 46# to 53#. I draw a true 28" Trad lite 30" four fletch 100gr insert 175gr point or broadhead. If you want a skinnier arrow the new stinger for me the 500 and a 50gr insert with all else the same works well

Neither... as a big huge supporter for years, not anymore they have gone to the dogs. Poor quality, poor service, screwed other Sponsors/vendors, never paid their Sponsorship they committed to, the owner really doesn't care about his arrows business, as it isn't his priority business last I heard by several people that use to deal with them..... Buyer Beware!

Terry,
Thanks for the honesty. I have some Gold Tips that I actually bought for my son that bare shafted nice today. I guess I’ll go with them.

I second what Terry said

Thanks to everyone for the help. I bareshafted the AD Trads and they are definitely too stiff. I tested them in my ILF set up and my Black Widow (51# at 28”) and stiff in everything. I also bareshafted the Nugent Gold Tips (35-55) I bought for my son and they flew perfectly. Now I just need to get my fletching jig out and get to work.
