Ohio bow season opens Saturday. Weather feels like bow season. Be nice to spend some time in the hills doing some social distancing. Crunch time. Any new strategies, things to improve on this year?
-
To actually kill the deer I shoot at :biglaugh: I have limited time with both daughters playing volleyball and one has a minimum of two games in Gallipolis every Saturday thru middle of November. I have spent more time scouting this year. Will see if it pays off with my limited time.

Got cataract surgery Tuesday and now I can hunt w/o glasses fogging up on me.

Understand the limited time thing. That’s one of the reasons I switched to trad. Any deer is now a trophy. The taking a hike with my bow approach has brought the fun back and is perfect for short hunts when it may otherwise not seem worth the effort of setting up a stand hunt. Agree with the shoot any deer in range until run out of tags. My focus is improving approach to stands to minimize disruption. Have gotten sloppy.

Good luck guys, be out in the morning.

Ready for tomorrow. I’ll be on the ground with my 8 year old daughter tomorrow evening. Deer or not it will be a special time.
I’ve already taken the first two weeks of November off, my favorite time in the woods. Well, any time in the woods is a good day!

Good luck fellas.
Unfortunately I probably won’t make it out opening week.

A little hot for me, I don't hunt mornings anymore. This evening will be fine. Good luck everyone, pick a spot.

Good luck guys! I'm a little jealous of being able to have several tags. Here we are one buck and done. No doe tags here. I think I'm going to have to start hunting out of state.
