Title: Arrow spine Question
Post by: blueslfb on April 19, 2008, 06:45:00 PM
I recentlly aquired a new L/B and I am pulling 60lbs @ my 27" draw it looks to be cut to center.  I want to shoot woodies w/190grn Grizz's and want to end up with a 28.5 or so arrow.  Can someone suggest where to start with spine.

I figure 70-80 lb, depending on string type and arrow length.  I would start with 75-79's left long and trim them down until they tune perfectly either thru paper or bareshaft.  You could try 70-74's, but if they turn out too soft you're SOL.  If it's a hi perf bow with an FF type string, you may need 80-84.  It's almost always easier to deal with too much than not enuf.
