Well you asked and I hope you don't mind an honest opinion. As an owner of a Baraga I like them original from Steve. Don't care for what you did with yours but if you are happy.

Hey thanks for the comment. Different opinions and views are what makes the world go 'round. This is my first Traditional D shaped longbow and I love how it shoots! I've shot hybrids for years and appreciate the simplicity of the Baraga just wanted to give it a different look. I have no doubt the purist among us like to keep the bow in it's original form and that's fine too.  :clapper:

I think it looks great!

I've been thinking about one of those bows.

Rick, you won't be sorry! They are definitely fun to shoot, have little or no hand shock and hit where you look. Been shooting hybrids for years and decided to try a more traditional D shaped bow. Wish I had done so earlier.  :archer2:

The reason I chose the Baraga was the thumb relief on the handle. Does that cord fill that area in and effect the thumb relief?

On a side note my beautiful wife ordered mine with her choice of wood combos and gave it to me for an anniversary gift.  She is now gone and I will keep that bow forever.

Sorry to here about your loss.

As I said, I absolutely love this bow. It was made in 2008 with a locator grip, no thumb test. The cord wrap feels great and doesn’t interfere with a solid hand placement on the bow.

That's weird, I was in Baraga yesterday and it didn't look any different...

Bow looks good! Would love to try one of his bows someday!
