Shakes.....if you ever get a chance to hunt KS.....you will see that many birds...in most places. We are blessed to have a property that offers multiple opportunities.
As per corn...yes...it is legal in KS...otherwise...I wouldn't do it.
Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't. My buddy that I was hunting with hunted for 1 1/2 days with no shot and finally had to relocate....and then got one.
As has probably been debated on this site a million times....everyone has to make up their own mind. For me..the big question is legality. In my home state of Indiana it is not....so it is never an issue.
Boar Hog....I refer to them as "yellow yelpers!!" ;)
where do you aim, under the wing?
Great shot and great bird, where in Ks were you? Tripper
good stuff thanks for sharing it
Ian....I'm a hip shooter. A turkey cannot get to wing without leg power. Also....if you check the anatomy of any bird...the majority of internal organs are low between the hips. This is now the third turkey I have killed with a longbow and have yet to lose one. All three died in view of the blind. I have lost a number with a compound (until I started using the Magnus "Bullheads")......because they zip right through. If you put a big broadhead in the body.....as the bird runs and flops that broadhead is doing a lot of damage.
Two-Sheds....in Hutchinson.
Mud...yes...again...baiting is legal in KS.
