Title: Nitro Stingers or Carbon Tech Rhino45/70?
Post by: Leon.R on April 19, 2008, 09:03:00 AM
I am going to try carbons with my Black Douglas68# recurve.   :help:
The two I have are Arrow Dinamics Nitro Stingers Tapered shafts or straight shaft Rhino 45/70.
Whitch will work best or not well?
Thanks

I'd go with the Stingers. Great shafts!

I liked them in my compound but seems the Rhinos are heavier?

Just stuff them with aquarium tubing or some 100 grain brass inserts. You'll get the weight you want.

I have used a lot of Carbon Tech arrows an there an awful tough shaft. suggest you look at 55/80
I am shooting a full length safari 32" with a 210 tip and there grouping nicely.

I have some of each for sale

Go with the AD's. They are a much more versatile shaft than the CT's. You should be able to get away with shooting them out of both your bows.

I would agree with Chris an arrow that you can use in both bows is best
