Going to start the process of cresting mine tomorrow. Shafts are already cut, sanded and otherwise prepped.
Looking for inspiration.

Some of mine.

Some more of mine.

Do you find the white or the orange crested wayward arrows easier?
-
I like the orange myself.

I've been at it quite awhile, and will say, "the simpler, the better". [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I have been working on a few different arrows. [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

These look good. I have essentially no artistic talent. I have only used enough strip to cover and even up the spot where different colors meet.
-
Kipfjinger and stagetek those are nice

Your first time? If so I would keep it fairly simple. There is a learning curve, I am still learning after many years. I changed to waterbased paints as an example. They go on a little different than the old stand by Bohning Laq paints I used forever. But alias, I get carried away sometimes and my cresting gets “to busy” . Hey Cap, really like those blue arrows. Real nice job!
-
Thanks! Those were a Christmas present to my son a couple years ago. Tamarack and 5 inch fletchings.

This will be my first year getting real fancy instead of just orange or white under the feathers. From nock @1/2” natural, so I can date and number, then about 3-4” white followed by 1” orange and white bands for about 5” then brown stain to the point with maybe last 2” orange/white banded again. Orange and orange barred fletch probably 5”. It’s a concept.
