A very nice Ben Pearson BP-H52 landed in my hands and I was wondering about the brace height?
It was at about 61/2 and I was getting some wrist slap so I went to about 71/4 and the bow seem to shoot just fine. An accurate brace height would be nice.
Also what say you the value of the bow? Its very nice zebra wood, ##45 @ 28. 52inches. I can't decide if I'm going to keep it, trade it for a longbow, or sell it.
Is That a Recurve, or LongBow? Are there any Tiny Stress Fractures In Or Between the Fiberglass Laminations?
Its a 52inch recurve so far I have not seen any stress fractures but I would have to take a closer look to give you a full answer, just shot the bow yesterday for the first time, so I have not had it very long.
7 1/4 is about right $75-135 on the value
Thanks trapperDave, I thought I was getting close on the brace and the value is about what I was thinking too. Also thanks on the list now I know its a Ben Pearson Hawk.
Still not sure what to do with it, I'll most likely take it to our local big shoot this year and see what I can get in trade for it, if I don't pass it on there I'll either keep or put it up for sell/trade.
my Hawk is my everyday shooter/"go to" bow...love it!
Well I've got two blacktails and an indian archery bow and I can only shoot one at a time but I would like to get another longbow someday..
I just shot my BP-h52 for the first time and ended up with 8' brace height, or just a bit over. Shootin 45# at 28" draw - arrows are 29.5 1916's with 125gr points.
