Title: Whisperstik
Post by: Gator1 on April 17, 2008, 12:17:00 PM
What a nice bow I just received from JD Lund:

58" Mojostik Recurve
Bamboo Cores
Awesome Bocote Veneers and an incredible riser combo, very nice work again... Hats off to a great guy to work with, and very very picky.

Great looking wood in that bow, Gator!
Raw Hide, the grip is the best feature of the bow IMHO.  My Mojostik is gorgeous and great shooting, but the grip is the key to the "accuracy package"...and what a package it is!
Congrats on your purchase, Gator!

Guys.....I gotta be missing something here, cuz to me that grip just don't appeal to my eye.  Maybe if I had it in my hand I might think differently.

May have to sell a rifle soon!

I think the grip looks like it would "lock" your hand into the same postition everytime, and the palm swell will rotate your hand into a very natural position...Mike

Great wood combo. I had the pleasure of trying out the 58" demo bow and here's my take on the grip. It looked a bit weird to me when I unwrapped it, but the more I shot it, the better it felt. Bottom line, don't let the unorthodox looks of the grip turn you off. It works!

The beauty of the grip is that it effortlessly places the hand in the same location every time you grip the bow.  JD hit a home run with this design IMO.  Get ready for some good shooting, Gator!!!

OK, so the grip locks your hand in the same position...that's a good thing I know..

So does it give a high wrist grip? or maybe medium. I don't really like a high wrist grip...medium to low for me.

MAybe JD can customize the wrist some???

Archer, my Mojostik likes the pressure of the bulge in the grip to be right in your palm.

Archer,
It's a medium to low wrist, unless you ask for a built up heel.

OK, it sounds better now...I just gotta check this stuff out cuz it's a looonnnggg way from JD's to my house...and tweaking the fit wouldn't be an option I don't think.

Thanks guys.

What's up with JD's In Stock bows???? Seems he sold about 20 of them in days???

I didn't sell 20 of them in days.  I am slow at updating my website cause I am busy trying to fill orders.  If I could sell 20 in a few days, I may be able to quit my real job some day.  JD

I bought one last fall and it is by far my favorite bow. Sold off the Black Widow, Bighorn, and Bear Kodiak, my Whisperstik rules. Scott
