Title: Katolox?
Post by: monterey on May 31, 2020, 01:35:53 PM
Cook is running a pretty good sale right now and the Katolox has caught my eye.  Any experience with it as riser wood?

Might be a pain in the rear to get it shaped :dunno:

Sounds brutal! Probably no more of a pain than some other nasty hard woods. Sure looks pretty in pictures.

I just glued up a riser for my next build with it. I didn’t notice it to be any different than any of the other hard and heavy woods I’ve used in the past.  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
