Where can I order a piece of cocobolo for a recurve riser? Binghams does not carry it.

Try Fedora Trad Materials. I got a piece fromt hem a couple months back. Fancy grade was $44 for a recurve sized block.
If you do order from them and do not plan to use the wood for a while make sure both ends of the block are sealed. Looks like they cut my piece off from a larger board and I did not seal the cut end right away and got some checking when if acclimated. Otherwise it was a very nice piece of wood.

if you buy from woodcrafters, and it is the turning stock it will be very wet.

cocoboloinc.com they are located in Florida.Have purchased Cocobolo and (Verawood in the bow I have for sale in the classifieds).Very satisfied with the service and shipping.The Cocobolo was not the deep dark red I recieved but the riser looked sharp when finished.  :thumbsup:

as said above...the cut end was not sealed and has checked a little bit.  I also bought a 2x2x22  of paduak and coco from woodcraft (a little more expensive but no shipping) and am satisfied with them just as the piece from jay.
