Raw Hide, I haven't even strung her yet. I'll know this evening. Feels ok to me unstrung but the weight in the palm will tell the story.
Those are great little bows! enjoy!

Very nice bows! I was shooting mine last night and as each arrow hit the target, I was reminded again of all the things I like about this recurve. Congratulations on taking delivery of a very nice shooting stick  .

This is my second day with the Mojo stik and after finding how and where she likes to be gripped I'm very impressed. This bow can't weight more than 2 pounds and the lack of hand shock is amazing. I was also concerned about it's short length. I've owned some shorter bows in the past and was very dissatisfied with their performance. This bow at 56" and my 28" draw has no stacking whatsoever.
As I said I found that the way it likes to be gripped, it likes the pressure to be right in the center of my palm. If you will cup your hand like you were holding a bow you will notice a cup in your palm. The bulge in the grip fits right in there and thats what carries the pressure.
I literally just crimped a nock on this bow yesterday and haven't moved it yet. The string is still stretching and I can't wait to see how she shoots when I really tune it. I've shot 2016's out of it as well as my Gold tip XT hunter. It shot them equally as well.
Here is my third round of shots with it on my second day of shooting from 15 yards. Usually after two days with a bow I would never comment on it but this little bow is very impressive.

Yes, the Whisperstick longbow I have also likes grip pressure to be in the middle of the palm.
Forgot to add. I haven't chrono'd it but this bow is 54 lbs. and shoots every bit as fast as my 56 pound Widow.
Shot again today. I added another pair of string silencers and this is the quietest recurve I've ever heard. Absolutely dead sounding, looking forward to the Kentucky whitetails having no idea of what just happened.
This bow will always have a home here. If anyone is considering buying this type of recurve you definitely need to give Whisperstik a look. Outstanding product and the customer service is second to none.
TJ out.
