This probably isn't the forum for this but they can move it where it needs to go.
It's a profile that was done for a TV Outdoor show. Except for a little recent footage the rest was shot in 1992.

Great Video Mr. LaClair....You are truly a Man's Man. After a hard day in the rat race of life that video put a smile on my face and I am ready to get to the woods as fast as I can.
Great stuff Mr.Ron!!

bowhunting= living the hunt

Well done Ron!!
That, is what most of us wish was everyday reality. Fantastic post! I lived one summer that way and wish I had never given it up. Good stuff Mr. LaClair, you are a legend living among us.

Interesting Ron. I used to feel as I think you do/did. I published a feature story in "Sports Afield" back in the '70's called "hunting the turncoat". Shotgun (double barrel but not flintlock" Take a look if you can find it, I'd like to hear your take on it. Nowadays, at age 62, it's about all I can do to stand the "grind" of working daily; although I still can bench 250 and draw a 60# bow easily for practice. Mentally I've about reached my tolerance for bs...guessing you know what I mean. Hunted the Texas Sweat with Curtis and the guys a couple years ago and still 'member it fondly. Would like to hear from you. !! Best Wishes!
By the way...the article I refer to above has pics of my Beagle (maybe the best ever welped) "fetching" a snowshoe hare that I had wounded. God Bless a good Dog!!
Let's hear "The Ghost of Armstrong Creek". That's my favorite.
Great video. It is great to have a "celebrity" hunter(hope you don't mind that term) that you can look up to. Someone who represents what hunting is/should be all about.
Excellant stuff Ron! Great video! ;)
Stuff like this is why I hang around here. :campfire:
Lin
Great video Ron. I remember watching you at the Fred Trost Outdoors fair in Houghton Lake at the high school doing shooting demo with Norm!! Man those were good times. I remember my dad doing the long bear shoot they always had and the looks he got when he stepped up to the line with his 80# Stemmler Recurve against all those wheelie bows!! He even hit it a time or two!! Watching all your old videos makes me remember seeing them in person!!
Very nice Thanks for sharing!!
Sure wish I could get Sonny to bring me back the rabbits LOL he doesn't much care about dead one's just grabs them makes sure it's dead and then off for the next chase
Thank you for articulating an ethic I hope most of us aspire to in some degree, and doing it with such eloquence.
Good Stuff thanks for sharing it
Trad Gang is a traditional bowhunting site and the rules are that all matter posted here must adhere to that subject. :readit: It was not my intention to change the theme, or spoil the purity of this wonderful site. I questioned whether this video because of the muzzleloading footage might do that so I sent it to Terry first and he graciously allowed it. Thank you Terry for putting up with the whims of an old man. :notworthy:
Nicely done! Tox Collector
Ron...that was great for sure. That video should be seen in schools.
Man that is exactly why I'm hunting!
Beeing outdoors is great but beeing after something out there makes the whole experience so much more special!
Great video!
Great footage, but way too short. Yes, Ron is THE Man!
Fantastic! yes, this video should be shown in schools
