I’m shooting a bear grizzly. 45 at 28. 27inch draw. 32.5 inch black eagle traditional arrows. 400 spine. Arrows are pointing to the right in the target. Out to 20 yards. Is the spine too weak or stiff? Should I be adding weight to the tip? Please help. I’ve been shooting the same wooden arrows for years. And never had this problem. I’m new to carbon arrows. Thanks.

Is the arrow tip right of the nock in the target or is the nock right of the point in the target? bare shafted arrows?
I'm interpreting this as the nock is right of the point, in this case to stiff.

Arrow tip is right of the knock. 4 inch fletching. The shots are consistent. Brace height is 8 inch. I’m not sure if that matters though.

Don't know. You didn't mention your tip weight, nor did you mention the center shot of the bow.
I just finished tuning my spring turkey bow. I'm shooting 32" .400 shafts with 185 grains up front at 46# at 29" draw. I have the tip slightly outside the center line of the bow.

Tip weight is 125. I’m not sure about the center shot. It’s on old bear grizzly.

I believe your arrows are so stiff they are bounxcing off the riser--- do you hear a click when you shoot? At 27" you are probably pulling 42-43#. 600s would likely be a closer match w 125 tips. They may be a bit weak full length, but you can cut them to tune.

Thank you. I have weight that I can add to the insert. But it doesn’t seem to work.

400's with 125 seem way to stiff. I agree with rifleman on 600's and maybe just maybe 500's at full length. are you getting the same flight with a bare shaft?

I haven’t tried bare shafts yet. I tried adding insert weights. 50grain then 100 grain. The only thing that flys strait is the full length 34.5 inch with 125 grain tip and 50 or 100 grain insert weight. But I hate the long arrow. Lol.

I settled at 32 inches. 125grain tip. 100 grain insert.. They are straight in the target at any distance over 7 yards. The spine is still too heavy. Probably go to 600s next time. Or before hunting season. So I can have a shorter arrow. Total weight is 555 grains. Thanks for the advice and quick responses.
