I'm still using the Duplicolor from Oreillys for the few I build each year...

I think somebody reported the cans read zackly the same..

Yeah, I've used both with the same results.   I don't have a place to spray in cold weather so wipe on poly becomes the go to.

I quit using it and went to TBitd.

Don’t get me wrong.....VHT is a great rattle can finish. To me, the finish is actually too hard. I don’t baby my bows. They get banged around. The VHT just seemed to chip out badly when banged or dinged.

Maybe there is a difference, I've hunted with a bow with it on there for 3 years and it hasn't chipped?

Mine is the Perfect Match duplicolor  automotive clearcoat from oreillys… with 2 coats of matte wheel finish of same brand

Glass bow. All coats with VHT flat.

I tried the VHT gloss but had problems with it not curing right and not laying flat.

If you like rattle can finishes, check out SprayMax. They have a bunch of products, including two component finishes.

The first time I used it I was really impressed on how slick it laid out, almost looked like nothing was there. I saw some reviews where I guess the cans were old stock and did not work very well.

I have used the VHT in satin with good results.  Auto Zone only had it in Gloss last summer and it didn’t hold up very well, it chipped and scratched real easy.  I used the Perfect Match duplicolor in a matte finish on the bow I donated to the PBS at our banquet last week, not sure how it will hold up.  I know the winning bidder, if the finish doesn’t hold up I told him I’d refinish it but he’d have to deliver it in person.

How would VHT work over a bow that has epoxy filler on it?

Used the 2 part poly and really like it. Super durable. Doesn’t turn yellowish or chip like other poly I tried
