Title: HOAL 2008 Update
Post by: AZStickman on April 06, 2008, 04:19:00 PM
Hi Everyone:

Well after a season which saw us placing 13 kids out on 15 hunts we are gearing
up for a new and hopefully just as successful year. For those of you who may not
be familiar with our program we are a 501(c)3 non profit group dedicated to
providing hunting and fishing opportunities to children with lifethreatening
illnesses. We currently have 4 kids registered with the AZ Chapter for hunts
this year and our founder Tina told me yesterday she has even more on the way.
Please take the time to visit our website at  www.hoalarizona.org (http://www.hoalarizona.org)  to see the kids
and their stories and also to see how you can help. Our How you can help page
http://hoalarizona.org/howcanyouhelp.htm     will show you some of the things we are
needing this year.Take a look at the list and refer back to it as it is updated
regularly. If there's something there you can help with please contact myself or
one of the committee members listed on our site. Only listed committee members
are authorized to receive or solicit donations on behalf of our organization. As
always the cornerstone of our program is the Arizona Game and Fish provision that allows
hunters who have drawn a tag here in AZ to donate it to 501(c)3 groups such as ours for use
by the kids. This is accomplished through a tag transfer. If you find yourself
with an Arizona tag you are not going to be able to use please consider donating it to
our program.

PS. We have an offer for a special Archery Bull Elk hunt that could yield an opportunity for a youngster to shoot a truly "world class" Bull Elk. If you know a child that qualifies for our program and wants to hunt Elk with us this Sept. please put them in touch with me.

Thank You

Thanks guys but I'm just one of many people who make our program work...... I'd like to keep this to the top for a bit just in case we have someone out there who might know a youngster who can get out here with us on the Archery Elk hunt  mentioned above. Believe me when I say this hunt has "World Class" Elk in the hunt area. That is based on sightings last year and some sheds from last year.....
Thanks again to all on this site who helped us get the tag transfer provision passed a few years ago and for the continued support many of you have shown our program...... Terry
