What is the best way to get a Wensel Woodsman up to or close to 160gr.
Thanks,
Adapter or insert depending on what kind of arrow you are shooting.
Wood arrows.

I have increased the weight of Judo's by hammering a couple split shot from fishing into the end of them. I just drop them in one at a time and smash them until they conform to the shape of the tip. Depending upon how long the taper on your arrow is, you might have to cut off a bit, but it works well.
(still need to get back to you about an armguard)

I've melted lead shot into broadheads before.
TRhanks For the information!
As another option, I find melting solder to be more uniform than lead shot and easier (lower temp) than melting lead. I do this with the long hollow aluminum inserts on some of my odd weighted heads to get 200gr.
A .22 LR is 40 gr. Hap
Take the powder out 1st.............
I tried upping the weight on a WW using lead shot and by the time I reached 160 gr, I didn't have much ferrule left, even when pounding the shot in. I could have regained some depth by melting the shot, but didn't want to heat the head that much. I'd like to see a heavier version made. Dale, are you listening?
