Title: Fancy tillering gizmos for St Jude
Post by: Eric Krewson on February 22, 2020, 09:24:08 AM
Last year I did my own St Jude auction here and a bunch of other places, I told anyone who made a $20 donation to st Jude would get a gizmo with instructions shipped to them. I auctioned off about 30 gizmos and raised $695. The donations varied with most being $25, one guy donated $100 to the cause but said he didn't want a gizmo.

Being a flintlock builder and familiar with the builders on the M/L sites I asked for donations of figured wood cutoffs that I could make gizmos from, I was overwhelmed at their generosity, I probably got close to 100# of combined wood from these guys and Roy.

Needless to say I now have a lifetime supply very nice wood. I will crank up gizmo production again in a little bit so be on the lookout for some real fine gizmos on this years St Jude auction. I have about 50# of very curly maple to use so that will be my main focus starting out.
