Strung bow and placed tillering stick at 20” and at 28” draw. As you can see its bending more so at fades and not mid limb. Im thinking I'd have to sand mid-limb to get more bend. Is that right a d if so do I sand back or belly side? Right now I'm estimating draw weight at around 55, scale will be here Tues. Weight doesn't matter much to me either way. But not in love with the limb bend at this point. Tiller was 1/8th difference

Have you checked your limb widths to make sure they match?
-
Can you show a pic of your front view ? What taper is in your stack ?

Talked to kenny, and I narrowed limbs down from couple inches in front of fades to 1/2" at tip. That corrected the problem pretty well. Lightened bow up a good bit too, will know for sure how much when my scale gets here Tues.
Day off from bowyering tomorrow, I've been given an executive order from the fun governor to take her ice fishin for some crappies. I'm ok with those kinds of mandates. Will cut out and shape riser Monday and fine tune nocks and limb, and maybe even slide a couple arrows across it.

Good deal! Mine usually look like that right after I rough cut the tapers and string it to see what I'm dealing with. The limbs are never the same width at the beginning so I grab the calipers and measure at 1" intervals down each side. Then it's just a matter of sanding each section to match the opposite side, restring, and check again. Takes care of about 90% of the tillering.

I will do that with this one and see what I come up with. Theyre very close, may have a spot here and there that needs an attitude adjustment. Its really close now, I'm go over it to detail a few things before I start on the riser. Still havent decided if I wanna do a overlay on the handle.

Forward, dont have a front viiew pic, but stack is .325 and .oo3 taper. Riser is 16" due to chipping out a chunck of fade on the 18" riser. That was an unexpected modification. Shortened bow to 56". So a few design changes on the fly. Im back on track with it now, after re-tapering limbs it tillered within 1/16" of even so happy with that.

Glad it worked out for you! If it's good now don't screw with it

Yep me to ,glad it worked out ,I had one that only had mild differences in front view taper and it was enough to throw the bend profile off , it doesn't seem to take much !

Usually unless something slips in stack, if you have a strong limb you can mark equal distances from center and check width and easily find the trouble. That’s on a glass bow since the lams are milled the same on both limbs...

It may be the thickness of the ramps but it almost looks hingey at the fades.

I useualy use Kenny's recepe last 2" .140 .065 1" & paper at the tip but lately I have been making the fades longer on short bows like yours seems to work out well for my long draw , stressed fades are performance robers on my bows !
