Am exploring take down systems for two piece bows...
Has anyone used this system before? I know there used to be a site where you could see the installation on them, but now I can't find it.
Any help would be appreciated.

There were some problems with these locking up and giving you a one piece bow. The guy who came up with it, Jim Stepp, also came up with the Stepp Ladder - the slickest strap on steps I've seen.
I've heard of the problem w/ these locking up. A couple of years ago Morrison had a stock bow for sale that had the bevel-lock system that was "locked" so well it was being sold as a one-piece.
Smith and I have a set of father/son Chameleon Shrews with the bevel lock. Have had absolutely no problems with them. Unless someone sees us putting our bows together or examines the grips closely, one cannot tell our Chameleons are take downs. We've been shooting these for a number of years now without any negative experiences.
Did a "blind" test where I shot my bevel-locked takedown and compared it to my one piece Shrew of similar specs. Smith handed me the bows while I was blindfolded and I could not tell which was which. The bevel-locked bow felt and shot the same as the one piece.
The bevel lock is harder to install than the bolt system which seems to have advantages not only in ease of installation, but in bow construction as well.

As mentioned there have been a few historic instances of the the bevel lok locking permanently. It's a slick system though.
After hearing of said problems, I went with the bowbolt in my shrew....and think its as good as it gets for a two piece takedown system.
