Is anybody out there? This place is getting cobwebs...
I got a bow drying and will get some pics when it aint snowing!
Anybody else got anything goin? :)
-
nothing worth taking photos of, but I am working on two new forms I'll post photos once I make the first bow from the new form.
-
Cool!! We like pics of forms too!! ;)
-
Give me couple more weeks and I should get one goin. (Deer season ends)Actually, I've already got one goin. The wife’s bow has been on the form waitin on glue up for a month or two.
I have yet to turn an arrow loose on a deer this year. But that’s ok, family members are pickin up my slack. Would love to share some pics and stories, but their bows have more than one string.
A fella has got to have priorities :bigsmyl:

I know I have been slacking on the posts for quite some time. Have some interesting things going, will post over in "what did you do today" for your viewing pleasure! Just have to figure out how to post pictures from my dang phone...
-
Me too
-
Just finished up this bow for friend. Missed poundage my first try so he got two sets of limbs. Started a bow for my states bowhunting banquet but had to scrap it. Worst limb twist I've ever had. Still haven't figured out the cause.

Now we're talkin!! Beauty there Travis!!
-
Nice bow 4 point. What kind of wood in handle?
-
Just crickets here too Kenny. I started re- vamping my shop and I haven’t finished yet, so bows are on hold for now.
Dave.

Not sure what my problem is, maybe depression.
-
I wish I had something interesting to add to the conversation. I have so many projects in the works, I have had no time for Bow making. :banghead:
-
Roy, I hope you get to feeling better. You #@$%@^&##&# ol codger.
There !! Did that help bro?
I got last coat on the bow today but need to get a string on it after it cures and get some decent pics (that hide the defects)… LOL
-
That's sweet looking Travis  I have one about 2 days away from finish , but keep getting called in to work every week end !
-
I check in almost daily but by the time I sit down and start reading my brain is to tired! I need to start posting more.
Life is good and staying busy so I count my blessings!

I know what you mean Randy, last year in construction season I just didn't have time to really participate much...
-
I’ve been checking the board but haven’t had much to post due to my shoulder. Bad enough staring at my bows I can’t shoot let alone drool on everyone else’s pics. Scheduled surgery for March 4 and as long as they don’t find anything unexpected I should be shooting by May. If it turns out it’s rotator cuff as all suspected originally then I’m sidelined til September. Worst part is I won’t know anything more until I’m in recovery. Deer season was a bust but I managed to hunt at least 5 hours per weekend the entire season. Got lams ready and bamboo close to glue up but just no drive to build another one I can’t shoot right now. Hope all have a good swap and I’m sure I’ll spectate.

I poke my head in at least once a day or so. Sometimes I feel like I post too much...
I seem to run in flurries, posting two or three questions at a time.
Not here on the Bowyer's Bench so much but on other Boards, I seem to be the death knell for threads. I read through a post with a full page or maybe two and put together a reply and that's the last activity it sees.
Either I am wise beyond my years and compose such thoughtful prose that all others are intimidated into silence OR everyone reads my post and thinks "What a knucklehead, I don't want to be associated with this thread anymore incase some of his ineptitude might rub off on me".
Probably the second idea...
OkKeith

Good to know Keith, I thought I was the thread killer! :goldtooth:

Man I always thought I was ...
