I have an antelope hunt in Wyoming next year and I'd like to hunt with a selfbow. I will be flying out, a takedown would be a nice winter project. Anyone have plans or advice?

3rivers and some other places have them too. (2 piece sleeve)
You should be able to find some how to’s also
With your skill you should have no problems

Not a plan, just a bit of advice from experience making a takedown selfbow. Don't go overboard making a fancy contoured grip with center-cut sight window. A simple Hill style D-shaped grip with an arrow shelf added to the side will make the rest of the job so much easier.
Now cut the bow in half, at a 45 degree angle or more. Then start fitting the sleeves to put it back together again. Once that's done, then apply a leather wrap to the two halves of the handle.

x2 on what Ken said

Big Jim has a tutorial on YouTube for making a takedown sleeve. I've tried it, and it works pretty well.

I like Big Jim's method with some of my own modification. It's very strong and works well.

BMorv has documented his take-down sleeve process. If I remember correctly, it was on a try-lam. Should be similar to a self bow.

Crooked Stic has too.

Are the build alongs here on Bowyers Bench or in the How To section?
I have a sleeve type I'll be working on this winter.

Here is a video from Clay Hayes. I shows his version of a takedown selfbow. Not sure if the links will work but I guess you could copy them or just do a search.
