Don't let my wife know! :biglaugh:
I was at the shop I used to work at last night, and I pulled off the shelf an older Martin Vision. I said 'what the hey' and strung it up and flung some arrows down range. WOW! I have always shyed away from long bows for some reason -- I have no logical reason for it at all... Maybe they were not sexy enough or something... but it was SWEET! I have a really long draw at 31.5 inches and there was NO stacking and it sure felt zippy! I wish I would have tried this before I picked up my Howatt Hunter (not that I don't love it too!). Does anyone know what the price range on one of these used is going for and where to find one? (that might take a trade or three -- since I used up all our disposable cash on the Hunter) Are there any other bows that are similar with a fully developed riser and refelx/defelx limbs?
Needless to say it was an eyeopening experience!
You can find them on X-xxx auction site from time to time. There is a nice one on there now.
Check the classifieds on here and some of the other traditional archery sites. They come up for sell on occassion. Nice shooting bows. Used, in good condition, probably $300-350. I'm just guessing on that though. A bow with a similar profile and grip is the Saturn 2100 or the Nova 2100 by 21st Century Longbows. They're also very nice.
I just fell in love, too.....but I was lookin' at my wife.
