Could of swore this was a heart shot!
"October Recurve Doe....Happy ending for the Doe." on YouTube

If you watch the slo-mo really carefully, you can see the arrow skirt beneath her belly and bounce off the ground on the far side. I think you might have just skimmed her belly which would account for the blood and white hair.
Ya win some, ya lose some. Did the exact same thing in 2016. Could not believe it was a miss. I was so sure...
Thanks for sharing!

Yes sir, it was just a low shot.......looked great in real time!

I agree! I watched the real time vid and thought, "man...he nailed it!" It wasn't until you slowed it down you could see the near miss. Deer are like the ninjas of the forest... :dunno:

Deer can move fast!!!

I’d rather miss one low, than hit one high!!!!!
Better luck next time Billy!!

Glad she is going to make it......maybe I will get another chance at her.

What my eyes see: If the deer had simply stood still the arrow would have passed beneath her chest by a few inches. Instead, she drops down onto the passing arrow and causes it to deflect into the dirt just beyond her. The broadhead may not have had any significant contact, and hair loss could have been from arrow/fletch friction against her belly.

I can see blood hanging from the white hair just behind her leg.

A couple years ago, I shaved a bucks chest hairs.
I didn't think the broadhead even touched him, just the feathers, and he jumped straight up a couple feet and ran off.
Later when I went to get my arrow, I could see a handful of hair but no blood.
I will say you have a neat video.
