i am new to tradgang , where do i look for help
I don't think there is a place on here where you can not find help. Welcome!!
Check out the forums or do a search for specifics in the search help above and will get loads of great resource and great bunch of folks to learn or get help from if you have questions to post.

i am looking for a longbow,i have asked alot of questions, some people say to start with a recurve
Shooters forum is a great place for specific shooting help. Pow Wow is great for hunting tips and arrow tuning. Etc etc. Lots of info here and the search tool can be invaluable.
Have fun and welcome.
Shoot both recurve and longbow and see which you prefer. I found a longbow easier to shoot but that was just me.
THANK YOU. PLEASE EXCUSE MY TYPING SKILLS
I SHOOT ALOT BETTER THAN I TYPE
Todd, for my two cents worth, there's no better place available to get GREAT help than here on TG.
I' a very poor two-finger typist, but after over a half-century in bowhunting I still type way better than I shoot! :biglaugh:

Might pick up a copy of Traditional Bowhunter's Handbook by T.J Conrads. It will save you posting hundreds of questions on here. Timeless Bowhunting by Roy Marlow is also very good, but a bit more technical. Vols. 1-4 of Traditional Bowhunters Bible are also good resources. There are others as well. Good luck.
Welcome Todd....I've only been a member a short time as well. Here you'll find great information and more importantly great people. Good luck!
Welcome Todd. There are plenty of resources to learn on TG. But the type of bow thats suits you is a personal thing. As they have already said try several and you will know after shooting some.Don't try to make it too complicated. Keep it simple. And have fun. David
thanks everybody for your input
Hi there. Hap
Welcome :wavey:
Welcome to the gang, you have come to the right place :-) :campfire:
Welcome!! Pull up a chair and have a look around. You can learn a lot of the basics around here and you can learn a lot about what other guys do that works for them. The biggest thing I can tell you is shoot and shoot often. Start with the basics and then tweek them to fit your own style of shooting. For me there is no right or wrong way to shoot a traditional bow. There is only what works for you. Most of all have fun and ask questions.
