Ever wanted to play archery golf on a real 18 hole golf course?
Turner Brothers Taxidermy, Hattiesburg, MS is hosting its 2nd annual archery golf charity shoot on May 10th. It will be at King's Arrow Ranch Golf Course (south of Hattiesburg-I-59, exit 35). You use real golf score cards. You actually "play a round of golf" with your own traditional archery equipment-no compounds. $30 for adults, $15 for youths. All proceeds go to the "Catch A Dream" charity foundation. The event is sponsored by the Mississippi Wild Turkey Federation.
The golf course can accomodate about 80 participants. Get all the info--call 601-583-2638.
Meant to say, too, that the entry fees include lunch.
There will be door prizes.
They will pay $450.00 in prize money for two divisions.
Now that sounds like a blast! a bit far to travel though. Have Fun
Now that sounds like a blast
We were going last year but didn't make it but we'll try again this year.
that would be the only way I would set foot on a golf course :D
how many shooters are you expecting? and will there be any venders there?
tganks, jim
Kyle & Drew Hunter are the brothers are hosting this. They say they can handle 70 participants or so with ease.
They would be the ones to answer your questions about sponsors.
New meaning to letting the party in front of you "follow through" !
I have set of Taylor Mades that I have not used in 3 years, I think I will replace them with bow !

Another item of interest:
The entry fee covers a golf cart (2 per cart) which also adds to the fun and comfort.
What a pleasure to stand on a tee box, looking out over acres of manicured fairway, and launching an arrow as far as you can make it go!
Hey folks, just a reminder: :readit:
